This complimentary appointment will provide you with the opportunity to share about your health concerns, and learn more about how Dr. Tam, ND can support you in creating a tailored program to address your concerns and achieve your goals.

 
What happens at the
“Initial Naturopathic Appointment”?

Dr. Tam, ND believes that be most successful doctor-patient relationship is based on good communication.

This first appointment will take about 60-90 minutes.
We will discuss in depth about your primary concerns, health history, lifestyle and goals. A physical exam will be performed and we will review lab testing options if necessary.


You will leave the first appointment with a personalized treatment plan in hand and specific recommendations to reach your health goals. With your time and commitment, we can begin your journey to better health. Follow-up visits are often recommended to ensure your care is comprehensive and effective.

How do I prepare for
my first visit?
  1. Download and fill out the appropriate "Intake Form" (➜ here) and bring the completed forms with you to your appointment.

  2. Bring copies of any recent bloodwork or other lab / imaging test results from your family physician or specialist.

  3. Bring any supplements and/or medications that you are currently taking to your appointment.

What is your Cancellation Policy?

In an ongoing effort to serve you more effectively and efficiently, we have established an office scheduling policy for new and returning patients.

We require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or change to your appointment.

Please be advised that a charge applies for missed appointments.

How many appointments will I need?

Depending on your situation and health goals, you may need to see Dr. Tam, ND several times in the first few months to check on your progress, address any new concerns, order neccessary lab tests and discuss findings, and adjust your treatment plan.

Follow-up Appointments are usually 30-60 minutes in length.

If your plan includes Acupuncture or other in-clinic treatments (ie. NET, etc), you may need more frequent visits.

As you start feeling better, we expect to see less of you! However, we encourage you to continue checking in periodically to stay on track and maintain a lifetime of wellness.
