What can I expect from my naturopathic visit with Dr. Freda Tam, ND?

Prior to your visit

Before your first visit, you will be asked to fill out an "Intake Package" (available here). Please bring the completed forms, as well as a copy of your most recent lab test results with you to your appointment. This will help provide important information about your health and help make your visit as informative and valuable as possible.

Initial Visit: A comprehensive assessment

Your initial visit will typically be up to 75 minutes in length. We will be going over your chief health concerns in detail, and a comprehensive intake will be conducted where your health history, review of systems and laboratory findings are reviewed. I will also complete a screening physical exam, and may order further laboratory diagnostic tests if necessary to make a proper assessment of your situation. By the end of the visit an initial personalized treatment plan will be developed to help achieve your health goals, and I will give you some preliminary treatment recommendations.

Follow-up Visits (30 to 60 minutes)

Follow-up visits will be scheduled as necessary, depending on your personalized treatment plan. These appointments are approximately 30-45 minutes long, and are typically scheduled once every 4-6 weeks in the beginning to review your progress, deliver in-office treatments, discuss laboratory results, address any new areas of concern, and to make appropriate changes to your treatment plan.

Acupuncture: If acupuncture is used as the main mode of treatment, follow-up visits (30-45 minutes) will be scheduled weekly for a series of 6-8 weeks to implement the therapy for optimal results.

Facial & Body Rejuvenation Mesotherapy: In general, rejuvenation mesotherapy treatments will be approximately 60 minutes in length. The frequency of these visits will depend on your individualized treatment plan and goals. Please visit the mesotherapy page to learn more about the treatment process.
